The Golden Mile is the local name for the business and industrial area along the Great West Road in West London, and this layout represents a short section of the Brentford branch as it passes under the A4 in a ‘what might have been’ with a local passenger service in operation between Brentford and the mainline at Southall, and the southern end of freight sidings receiving aggregates from the west country, and taking waste off to incineration.
