The layout is based on a 00 gauge layout that was built by a small group of modellers called the Taunton model Railway group back in the 70s/80s and was called TAMRIG CENTRAL.
The layout so far has taken several years to build. Baseboards are all made of Birch plywood and Peco code 55 track work ha been used throughout. Some of the point work has been modified to fit the location.
The 4 track main line is analogue control but using some of the latest technical principles. Bachmann scene craft buildings have been used to good effect for the urban back scene.
Some buildings have also been scratch built and kit bashed from plastic kits.
